The Argos (3-4, 0-2 GSC) are coming off a pair of losses last weekend vs. Christian Brothers and Union. Rashaan Benson averaged 17.0 PPG in the two games. The program’s all-time career assists leader is averaging 15.9 points and 3.7 assists per game this season. SCOUTING MOREHOUSE ARGOS LOOK TO REBOUND IN ATLANTA * West Florida is currently third in the conference in scoring defense at 66.9 points per game. The team is second in the GSC in opponent field goal percentage (.415).* Rashaan Benson ranks eighth in the conference with 15.9 points per game.* Alassane Kah ranks fifth in the GSC with six blocks this season. The Argos open the weekend in Atlanta vs. the Maroon Tigers Saturday at 2:00 p.m. ET/1:00 p.m. CT and close vs. the Dragons Sunday at 2:00 p.m. ET/1:00 p.m. CT. * The Maroon Tigers are 5-1 this season. He now stands at 419 in his career.* Benson has moved from eighth on the program’s all-time scoring list at the start of the season to fourth currently. He now stands at 1,004 points. * UWF men’s basketball suffered its first home loss of the season Thursday vs. Christian Brothers, falling to the Bucs 71-60. Rashaan Benson scored a season-high 23 points, but the Argos shot just 24-of-65 (.369) from the field for the night.* UWF men’s basketball dropped a heartbreaker vs. the Union Bulldogs 63-62 Saturday evening in the UWF Field House. Jarrett Henderson recorded his second straight double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds.GULF SOUTH CONFERENCE LEADERS “Two good challenges, both region games,” said Burkhamer. “We’ll continue to see if we can progress and continue to get better.” “These two games are again more measuring sticks for us, finding where we are,” said UWF head coach Jeff Burkhamer. “We need to continue to take steps forward.
