Trucker crushed to death at Santa Fe Springs yard

first_imgSANTA FE SPRINGS – A 45-year-old veteran truck driver from Washington state was crushed to death between two semi trailers at a Santa Fe Springs truck yard, police said Friday. The victim died instantly when a truck he was working on rolled back, pinning him against another tractor-trailer at Warner Truck Yard at 12820 Imperial Highway just before 10 p.m. Thursday, said a statement from the Whittier Police Department, which patrols Santa Fe Springs. He was part of a two-man trucking team, working with a rookie driver from Kentucky, and had been in the process of swapping semi trailers, the statement said.
