Globe, Beach Volleyball Republic team up for the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Boracay Open 2019

A total of 64 players from international (32) and local (32) elite teams will compete in the upcoming FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Boracay Open 2019 that will happen from May 23 to 26, 2019 at the White House Beach Resort in Boracay.The event will not just focus on the sport of beach volleyball since the participating players will also be at the forefront of the campaign for the use of reusable water containers and sports bottles during the tournament and help raise awareness on the importance of avoiding single-use plastics. Globe and BVR will also work closely with the Boracay Inter-Agency Task Force, the local government of Malay and White House Beach Resort, the official tournament venue, as part of the efforts to promote sustainable sports tourism.ADVERTISEMENT The program hopes to empower and inspire Filipino underprivileged youth through beach volleyball as a language of hope and as a platform to make the dream of winning in international events come true. The activity is fully supported by Globe and is BVR’s way of promoting the country through beach volleyball as well as paying it forward to the community.
