Abellio unveils Coradia Lint for Wuppertal – Solingen route

first_imgGERMANY: The first of nine Coradia Lint 41/H diesel multiple-units which Alstom is supplying for use on the Wuppertal – Solingen route S7 was unveiled in front of 100 invited guests on November 22.’The new Lints are the right choice for the Bergischen Land’, said Ronald Lünser, Director of Abellio Rail NRW. ‘They have power, high acceleration and offer our passengers comfort and safety. We have already had good experience with this unit on other routes and are looking forward to putting the first new train into operation.’ The DMUs are being procured by Abellio, which will sell them to transport authority VRR and lease them back. Abellio Rail NRW is to operate the 41 km Der Müngstener route on behalf of VRR for 15 years from the December 15 timetable change, taking over from DB Regio. The S7 service will replace the existing RB47, and run every 20 min on weekdays, half-hourly at weekends and hourly late at night. However, repairs to the landmark Müngstener Bridge will require replacement bus services on the Solingen Mitte – Remscheid Hbf section until June 27 2014.last_img read more

World’s First Automated mmW Multi-Port Test Station

first_imgAnokiwave and ATE Systems have announced the development of a multi-port mmW test station for characterization of their portfolio of Silicon Core IC solutions. Anokiwave selected ATE Systems to develop this unique test capability that features fully automated calibration for scalar power, s- parameter, and noise figure measurements for devices having up to 14 RF ports over temperature, as a solution to the complex test requirements of the highly integrated, multi-function ICs.Multiport full vector analysis is critical for testing our complex multi-channel Core ICs. Anokiwave’s Core IC solutions can revolutionize multiple markets with affordable AESA solutions. This mmW market revolution requires test systems that provide the highest levels of performance with reduced test time and unprecedented cost savings. The Anokiwave and ATE Systems are poised to embrace this market shift.Providing a new and unique approach to multi-port RF testing, the ATE Systems AD01800 test station, capable of mmW testing up to 40 GHz, enhances test accuracy and productivity. The system connects directly to a network analyzer, manages the complex signal routing and calibration of the RF ports, thus providing a significant reduction in both calibration and test times. The new capability allows Anokiwave to quickly characterize the ICs as well as run pilot-production test from its mmW laboratory.last_img read more
